Matthew James Evans was born December 11, 1982 in Chicago, IL to parents Gregory and Emily Evans. He was the youngest, out of three boys. His father was a Professor at Chicago University in the history department, his mother a dispatcher for the Chicago police department. They were both fairly older when Matthew was born, his father in his fifties, and his mother mid forties. Needless to say he was kind of the accident child, yet that didn’t stop his parents from showing him unconditional love, as well as his brothers being protectors over him even though they were ten or more years older than him. Growing up Matthew’s parents encouraged him to take up several sports and classes. Sports included baseball, wrestling, Karate and swimming. He had also had piano lessons, violin lessons, dancing lessons (i.e. ballroom, salsa, no break dancing/street stuff), which he had done throughout his teenage years. He was always a busy child, yet he still did have a childhood other that all the lessons and training that he had gone through. Saturday was always family day where they would go out to eat and take bike rides and whatnot. Living healthy and staying active was always one of the top priorities of the Evans household.
School years for Matthew were spent in private schools. His parents always felt that he would get a better education as well as a better change to get into a good college when he got older. In his grade school years he was a bit of a goofball. He liked to joke and play around, mostly because he was bored. Though in high school he had calmed down a little and ended up joining several clubs, one of the being the newspaper, as well as yearbook, and young writers society. He found his notch in middle and high school he really enjoyed writing. Since then he knew what he wanted to major in when he went to college. College took a different route though. His father wanted him to go to Chicago University but he decided on one of the other schools he was accepted into. Charleston Southern University was as far away from Chicago as he could be and he was happy about that. Majoring in Meteorology and minor in broadcasting. His goal was to become a local meteorologist at the local news station and that is what he did. Gaining an internship at the local fox station he was taken under the wing of their chief meteorologist that had been there for several decades. Learning a lot from the man, even stuff they didn’t teach you in school he became pretty good at what he was doing and gained a spot on their morning news after graduation.
Even though he was with; and engaged to his girlfriend of six months, in 2007 Matt met a pretty young girl, Abbie whom he accidentally stole her lunch. The next day there was a happy passive-aggressive note on her lunch asking whomever not to eat it again, so instead he stole it again and then left a note on her then empty bag complimenting her on her yummy food. The trend continued for a short time (about a week or so) until she caught him. The two of them hit it off instantly even buying her lunch since of course, he ate hers. Slowly their friendship turned into something more and starting with an affair where he got caught in bed with her mere weeks before their wedding which he had planned on breaking off in the first place. After that he and Abbie moved into an official, open-to-the-public relationship. For a year they just dated and on valentines of 2008 Matt had asked Abbie to marry her and she accepted.
Everything was grand and great with the two of them even planning a beach wedding and flying friends down until a month prior to the wedding. Abbie's sister, Eden decided her sister was too happy with her life or something and started spreading rumors about her and Matt having an affair. Abbie wouldn't put it past Matt from the circumstances they met but it wasn't the truth. She seemed to not know who to believe and yet Abbie broke off everything and turned her back on him. Matt fighting his case only to be closed off and decided to move on where he started briefly dating a girl that scared the life out of him. She was the crazy kind with the extra special sauce and somehow finally got rid of her after a few weeks. Chances are she got arrested or something, who knows! Moving on he finally cornered Abbie and told her the whole truth and nothing went on between her sister and him. Getting back together in the fall of 2009 and marrying in January of 2010 they are now expecting their first child together and everything was how it was supposed to be in the beginning. In February of 2010 Abbie was transferred out to Mobile where Matt then also filed for his transfer and got it so they could still be together and have their jobs.
